22. Human Trafficking is a Pyramid Scheme - And it is Collapsing (Part 1).

QUESTION: WHY IS HUMAN TRAFFICKING THE FASTEST GROWING CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE IN THE WORLD TODAY?

    ...

The answer to this question is not one that anyone in ‘the game’ is likely to admit to, because it would require acknowledging that their ‘industry’ is collapsing.

    ...

Right from the outset, I need to say that the use of economic terminology to describe the widespread and systemic torture of human beings as ‘commodities’ makes me want to throw up, and not only because it is happening to me.

    ...

However, in order to try to understand and communicate what is actually happening in the incredibly dark world of Human Trafficking, to people who only look at their own bottom line, it may be helpful to do so.

    ...

Morality and humanity aside (sigh), from a purely economic standpoint (which is, I imagine, a perspective close to that of the traffickers themselves), although the system has clearly been in place for an extremely long time, it is still essentially your basic pyramid scheme - a MLM.

    ...

And the current incredibly rapid pace of growth of the scheme, just like in any pyramid scheme, in and by itself, should be enough to make any savvy 'investor' with even a cursory knowledge of history, very wary. The writing is, most definitely, on the wall.

    ...

Any economist worthy of the name will tell you that a pyramid scheme is inherently unstable and that it is mathematically inevitable that the whole thing will eventually collapse - the only question is - when?

    ...

From the first well-documented and infamous economic bubble collapse of ‘Tulip Mania’ in the Netherlands in 1637, to the dotcom crash of 2002 and the American housing market crash of 2009 - the dynamics are the same.

    ...

(For anyone who hasn’t seen the brilliant 2015 film “The Big Short” about this most recent devastating collapse, I would highly recommend it. It explains how economic bubbles are created and the inevitability of a collapse, way better than I ever could.

    ...

Some collapses take longer and are more dramatic than others.

    ...

This one, is well overdue and hanging on by the thinnest of threads, being propped up by completely unsustainable levels of corruption, censorship and other forms of widespread draconian control tactics.

    ...

In fact, given the size and lengthy history of 'the industry', it is difficult to see how this collapse is not the biggest economic bubble-burst in human history. And although it is not necessarily being framed as such currently by the media (why would it be?), a lot of the mayhem that we are currently witnessing in the world is directly related to the burst of this bubble and the frantic, but ultimately futile attempts by a completely deluded establishment to frantically prop it up somehow.

    ...

The reason for the collapse is the same as the reason for the collapse of all pyramid schemes - 1. The people at the top are insatiable and unsustainably greedy, lazy, unscrupulous, highly antisocial liars (because up until now it has been very profitable for them to be so), and 2. They have been able, up until now, to hide the truth of the situation.

    ...

However, the rapid pace of technological advances that are fueling the even more rapid sharing of information is changing pretty much everything in modern life, and Human Trafficking is no exception.
